NOKIC offers an easily accessible service where a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Specialist Physiotherapist work together, with immediate access to MRI, Ultrasound and X-Ray, to give rapid diagnosis and effective treatment of knee injuries.

We offer both a walk in service and a referral service from GPs and consultants,
as well as sports clubs and physiotherapists.

Mr N. P. Walton MB, BS, FRCS, FRCS (Tr & Orth)

Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon

Fellowship trained in knee surgery in the UK and Australia, Mr Walton has been a consultant for ten years specialising in knee reconstruction. His practice involves acute knee referrals and a large volume of tertiary referral work (referral of difficult cases from other orthopaedic surgeons in East Anglia) and he operates on over 120 ligament cases a year of varying complexity including ACL primary and revision surgery, PCL primary and revision surgery, posterolateral corner and medial collateral ligament reconstruction and multiple ligament surgery.

Mr Walton also performs large numbers of meniscal repairs, chrondroplasty and other arthroscopic knee surgeries. He lectures nationally and internationally on ACL and multiple ligament reconstructions and meniscal repair and has been involved with evaluating new techniques with industry. He is also widely published and is an award winning reviewer of international peer review journals.

Mr Walton is based in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) in the NHS and at NOKIC in the private sector.

Mr N. J. Hunt BSc, Dip SOMM, MCSP

Specialist Physiotherapist in the management of the lower limb and sports injuries. Mr Hunt trained at the UEA, qualified in 2002 and has specialised in the management of knee, ankle and foot injuries for the past 6 years.

Working closely with orthopaedic surgeons, Mr Hunt’s practice involves the management of over 150 cases of knee injuries per year. As the lower limb specialist physiotherapist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, he has developed a unique service in Norfolk for the rehabilitation of patients following knee injury. He personally oversees the physiotherapy management of patients following knee ligament injury and reconstruction at the NNUH.

He lectures at the UEA on the undergraduate and postgraduate course, and has maintained an active involvement in research of knee injury. Mr Hunt is also published in peer review journals.

Mr Hunt works at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in the NHS and runs a sports injury clinic at the UEA Sportspark, as well as NOKIC in the private sector.
